Hi, I’m Taylor Krigsman!

I’m so glad that you’ve decided to consider Enhanced Edits for your editing needs!

Growing up, I always had a story to tell. As the oldest of six, these stories often revolved around my family, but I could go on for quite some time about any number of subjects with a passion. My mom often jokes that she could tell me the color of the socks each of my friends wore throughout the week because my stories were so detailed. It was no wonder, therefore, that I approached adulthood with a desire to develop my storytelling and become an author.

I’ve also always had an eye for detail. This was showcased in many forms throughout different stages of my life, whether helping my younger siblings choreograph dance routines for our parents, crafting, or editing papers for school. Once I became invested in the publishing process, this focus on detail eventually led to a desire to offer editing services to fellow authors.

Education and Career

I graduated from the State University of New York at New Paltz with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood/Childhood Education B-6 with an English concentration and a minor in Deaf Studies. My other lifelong dream had been to become a teacher, preferably at my own elementary school, and to remain living in my own little hometown forever.

Plans changed dramatically, however, when I found myself contemplating whether I wanted to pursue teaching still due to changes in the public school system. Luckily, this decision could be put on the backburner because the summer after I graduated, I packed up with my family, left my childhood home, and made the big move from New York to Florida after graduation.

In Florida, I took a step back from teaching to see where my love of Disney would take me. I quickly became a Cast Member at the Walt Disney World Resort, swapping out classrooms of children for crowds of Minnie ears and Mickey pretzels. I loved working at Disney so much that I decided to stay there rather than returning to the education field after a year as I initially intended.

Continuing Education

Thanks to Disney’s Aspire program, an incredible perk of being a Cast Member that involves the company paying for college tuition, I was able to go back to school. I received my Master of Arts degree from the University of Denver, majoring in Professional Creative Writing with a concentration in Fiction. Over the course of my studies, I was able to focus on not only writing, but the art of editing as well.

Family Life

I’m now settled in Central Florida where most of my family still resides. We’ve been through many changes since moving down from New York. Still, my focus on family remains the same.

Growing up as the only biological child in a foster/adoptive family led to my desire to adopt when I was ready to start my own family. After an almost three year adoption journey, I became a mom when my daughter was born in September 2022. She has been the biggest blessing in my life and the reason for everything I do now. I plan to write many books for her in the future, and I hope that my work with Enhanced Edits will help me fund part of the publishing process when I move forward with those stories.

Thank you!
